A hybrid piezoelectric–electromagnetic nonlinear vibration energy harvester excited by fluid flow

Energy harvesting mechanisms can be used to extract energy from ambient surroundings power small electronic devices, which has a significant advantage in realizing self-sustaining wireless devices. The proposed design of this study uses the internal fluid flow within pipe and takes fluid–structure interaction through flow-induced vibration bluff body. hybrid harvester convert electrical piezoelectric material an electromagnetic oscillator that tuned resonate at oscillation frequency. A numerical solver was estimate harvestable voltage for submerged model by using ordinary differential equations. computational optimize performance bodies under influence vortices circular, triangular, ellipse, quadrilateral shapes. Wake development seen circular triangular shapes with ellipse having lowest turbulence kinetic among Structural deflection beam resonance compared different shapes, displayed better results elliptical bodies.
